Keyword Content Is King
No, I am not referring to our company. Although I think it's pretty darned nifty.
Keyword rich web content is very important in getting your site indexed by the various search engines and there is a definite recipe for creating good and search engine friendly keyword content.
I have seen great uses of keywords in articles and some downright scary examples. I recently was sent a sample article by a writer that wanted to with us and I'm always on the lookout for quality writers that don't subscribe to the attitude "I love the whooshing sound deadlines make as they fly by...." Our time service is one of our selling points, and our clients are very used to receiving their content orders within 24 hours. So, I gave the writer a sample article to write for me and my jaw dropped when I got my article back, this person basically wrote the same keyword phrase over 30 times in a 300 word article. Talk about overkill!
I wrote them a gentle letter back and gave them some pointers on writing more web and reader friendly content. I am hoping they take my suggestions to heart.
Ultimately, people want their websites noticed, but they also wanted their audience informed and entertained. It's a tough balance to strike but one we thoroughly enjoy striking!
