Where to Find Writing Work

How’s that for a nice, concise title?

We get a lot of emails from people that have decided to start earning from home and they don’t really know where to start looking for work - here’s a short list of places that I personally like:

Keyword Content Giglist
This is a good place to start. Live feeds from around the net updated every 15 minutes will give you a good head’s up on any writing jobs. It’s totally free and there’s required from you except to click the link and visit the page.

Writing for Dollars
I love Dan Case’s ezine he puts out. There is also a Facebook page that if you become a member, you will get the latest edition a day before anyone else.

Blogtip
Blogtips is a relatively new site that pays $1-$3 bucks per tip (250 words minimum) to your Paypal. Just submit a tip that isn’t posted in one of the following categories: Car Tips, Computer Tips, Finance Tips, Shopping Tips, Travel Tips and when published - Blogtips will send you money.

Elance
Yes, I know I always yell “Don’t Pay to Work!” but Elance is the exception to that rule. Yes, you have to pay a fee unless you’re happy applying for 1-2 gigs a month (which are free). I have made thousands off Elance and I am also happy to say I’ve met some really cool clients that have turned into long term relationships.

Also, I invite you to check out my book, “Write All the Way to the Bank” - it’s not about “this is a noun” or how to write. Basically it’s a no fluff or frills book on exactly how to make a good living writing for the web as well as where to get jobs. If you have a blog for example - why not write blog posts for someone else and get paid for it? I can show you how.

Happy writing!
